Ladies and gentlemen of the dueling community! It is with great honor, privilege and pleasure that I, Sheridan "Dris" Driscol -- your host with the most more so than that wannabe Sinjin Fai -- am proud to present to you the results of the PathFinder Opal challenge that took place on the night of Thursday, January 7, 2010!

The evening started off dreadfully quiet, I must confess. There wasn't much of a crowd to witness the first two stunning matches of the evening! And without any confetti or fanfare, here they are!

By the time we were ready to move the challenge into the third and final round, a whole bunch of people started piling in from Twilight Isle to announce the results of the Archmage Challenge. I'd like to restate congratulations in the intermission here to Lem DeAngelo for his win over Vincent Smith to become the new Archmage of the Duel of Magic!

But let's not get side-tracked here. The third and final round of the evening between Jaycy Ashelana and Jigglypuff went quickly, and here are the details.

In the end, Jaycy Ashleana beat the ever-living snot out of that pink puffball of a terror known as Jigglypuff, and took away her, erm, prize! I'm still disgusted to report the fact that Jigglypuff ejected the Opal from her body in the usual complete digestive cycle fashion. It was probably even more disgusting than having witnessed her consume it in the first place when the creature won Pathfinder from Tasslehofl Momus.

In any case, CONGRATULATIONS Jaycy Ashleana, for becoming the next Opal holder of the legendary Pathfinder, for the second time in your career! And a well-played defense goes out to you, Jigglypuff! You certainly kept Jaycy on her toes!
