A melody of music would play at the beginning of every hour. By the will of fire elementals spread throughout the isle, the sound traveled all about. Its origins appearing to be from the Tower of Fire.

The cackles of Jesse can be heard before every performance.

Jesse i have something simple to say to you. No matter how many "gods" you sacrifice to, no number of songs will provide you with victory. If you think that you will. then you will fall to your own demise.

I am Cadence Valentine of House Valentine. As the newly appointed Keeper of Air, I feel it is my place to wish you good fortune in your endeavor.

Should you defeat this stain of human filth, I ask that you leave her alive. This maggot infested bowel obstruction forced me to challenge the 'lich so named Mephistopheles by his maker, by holding a young servant of my house as hostage. If I had not won the challenge she made it clear that my property would be slaughtered like livestock and cast onto a fire before the image of a God of Blood.

House Valentine humbly requests that once defeated, the witch known as Jesse, be delivered to Valentine manor for proper punishment.

If not defeated. I, Cadence Valentine of House Valentine, do swear to make sure this lowly creature will never hold a grace period for the rest of her reign.

Why this raving lunatic has been able to keep her title for so long is beyond even my understanding. There are thirty three others eligible to press challenge, yet you were the first after almost two months of silence. The blood of these slaughtered animals, along with the blood of whoever else she has harmed, are not only on her hands, but the hands of all those who allowed her reign of madness to continue.

Charles Blackstone. It is good to know that even in this new age there are still heroes.

First off congrats on your victory over the former keeper of air, i was gladly ableto observe your challenge. And also thank you for your best wishes of luck.

All formalities beside i do apologize for the situation that happened invovling this witch and your maid. I do hope all is well. Now about not killing Jesse. Such is possible and will be done. However i can not assure you of her being left un harmed.

After i am , hopefully, victorious, i will personally arrange her detainment and transportation to you and the house of valentine. If i may make a request. After a period of thinking and utterly going against my better judgement, i would not like any more deaths.

Why she held power i can not say, nor can i speak much on the bloodshed.

I am no hero Ms. Valentine, just someone who wants to do the right thing.

May the cosmos guide you.

A victory that has left a bitter taste in my mouth, but a victory none the less. I thank you.

My property is undamaged and currently frolicking with her sisters about the Tower of Air. The scars of the witches torment is still visible in her expressions. My servants smile may never be the same, and I am deeply angered by this fact.

I am grateful to you for your cooperation. I wish I could offer more support, yet it seems that under the rules of these duels - I cannot. I will do what I can and pray for your success in the rings later this night.

A hero is not defined by good or evil, or by what is right and wrong. A hero is one who stands and says no against the odds and turns them in their favor. You may not view yourself as a hero, young one; but to me and my little Leyona, you a glimmer of hope for retribution.

Many victories can be that way, i have learned this the hard way.

And mental scars are by far the worse of any of the effects of being held against your will. and lin this sense there is not much i can offer to you or your servant that can help. I will continue to pray and hope for a full recovery, but such is a hard road.

And being a hero , that could be true, but the odds are far against me
for mant reasons. i can only promise the full exertion of force on my part.
