Late in 2003, a small group of people got together to discuss the future of the Dueling Forum. AOL had been steadily reducing our resources and things were looking bleak. This ragtag group met in clandestine chat rooms and together came up with a plan, created resources, shared thoughts and dreams and started what seemed like a pretty titanic project at the time; migrating the Duels from AOL to the internet.

10 years ago, necessity birthed invention. It's a testament to this community that it is still here today, still healthy. Bravo to everyone who volunteers their time, their resources, their love for this slice of the internet that still bears the fantastic setting, the rich history, the amazing imagination of the Dueling Forum.

I was dueling when my daughter was about 1 yr old and she turned 18 this past June...

;)

I suddenly know how Galadriel felt when all those youngins showed up to pay a call in Lothlorien! ;)
