Dear Nuy,

I don't know who you are, but in reading your challenge note, I see you are familiar with the old rules. However, the Barons' Council was disbanded several years ago. Maybe you were around back then and are trying to hide your identity from others. Two time Overlord, Dalamar Ar'Daumon, did it.

I find it interesting that Lady Ravenlock, the current Overlord, acted like Lirssa's best friend forever when she encouraged her to challenge for Old Market which I held at the time. Here we are a year down the road and tables have turned. When a friend or ally steps up to cover your back in a fight, you do not say Who asked you to help me, you say thank you and remember they took that risk for you. To do otherwise is to be ungrateful and unworthy of someone's loyalty and friendship. That action negates any obligation, perceived or otherwise, from the one that stepped up.

Sincerely,

Mairead E. Harker

Dear Andrea,

I haven't gotten to back to 20 WoL, yet. Give me time.

Dear esteemed participants and supporters of the Arena,

I am grateful to all who have pointed out the times over the past year in which I've managed to translate my skill outside of the rings to skill inside the rings. Please be assured, I took no offense from Nuy, who clearly had little of the history, or Anubis. I decide what words have power over me, and theirs do not. I know my value.

The challenge is welcome, and I look forward to it.

High regards,

Lirssa

Baroness,

In a manner that is poorly veiled by faux courtesy and politically pragmatic words, you belittle the failed Challenger for his lack of experience and knowledge of the histories of the duels.

I cannot help but notice that you are not able to do the same with me.
