Re: Diamond Quest CIII Announcement
Tonight, as part of Diamond Quest CIII, the Outback is proud to unveil a brand new ring that will be used in tonight's Diamond Quest Finals match!
Designed by Rachael Blackthorne, who won the ring creation raffle that was one of the opal shard redemption prizes, The Wheel will become a permanent presence in the Outback!
The Wheel, a disc-like structure poised on a fulcrum at heights rivaling Styx, utilizes state of the art anti-gravity technology. Fighters are strongly encouraged to equip available magnetic gear (gloves and footwear) to ensure safety. While not necessary, this equipment will better allow duelers to adapt to the volatile nature of the platform. This ring offers unique and unpredictable challenges to combatants daring enough to venture a fight on its 360 degrees rotating axis that's also capable of sudden, violent tilts.
The Outback staff would like to thank Rachael Blackthorne for the design concept, Gailis Studios for the initial mockups, Elemental Furbishing for supplying construction materials and engineering staff, Floatilla Industries for the anti-gravity units, Domin8 Fitness for thorough live testing of the unit and CertSafe Enterprises for the rigorous safety inspections and accompanying certifications.

Re: Diamond Quest CIII Announcement

For the Fall Fire Diamond Quest in the center of the Outback there will be a magical bonfire going to keep the venue warm beneath the open dome!

The fall colors have filled the outback with various leaves strewn across the venue and in some of the rings!

Countless jack o lanterns have been lit with various colors all around the Outback!

Smores will be available at the bar, skybar and on various different tables all throughout the night!

Hot Chocolate is available from the bar, skybar and around the Outback on heated trays throughout the night!

Re: Diamond Quest CIII Announcement
As was the case in DQ CII, fifteen duelers vied for the Diamond in the 103rd Diamond Quest! In order of seeding, they were:
Jaycy Ashleana
Eden Parker
Caleb Feren
Strawberry Armstrong
Hope Naharis
Salvador Delahada
Ebon Ilnaren
Mallory Maeda
Koyliak VanDuran-Simon
Kheldar Drasinia
Gren Blockman
Terry King*
Bailey Raptis
Jigglypuff
Cane
Mallory breezed through the top bracket with her only close match coming at the hands of Jaycy in Round 2 (a 5-4 win) - otherwise, she beat Koy, King and Salvador with scores of 5-3 or better to lock her place in the championship round. Mallory's eventual companion in the finals was the creature known as Jigglypuff who was bumped to the bottom bracket by Salvador in Round 2 after beating Caleb in the first. From there, Jiggly fought Koy, Kheldar, advanced past King who withdrew from the event, and then Eden before facing, and this time besting, Salvador to advance to the finals.
Once there, though, Jiggly proved no match for Mallory and her opal-created construct as the witch powered her creation to an easy 5-2 victory to claim her very first Diamond! Congratulations to Mallory, and also to Jigglypuff who, perhaps to the surprise of nobody and to the horror of her caretaker, promptly swallowed FireStar, the night's other prize!
Keep and eye on the boards for word on how and when PathFinder will be put back in the mix, as Mallory gave up the green opal upon winning the Diamond!
*Notably, King had a shutout win over Bailey in the second round, the event's only shutout.
