I stumbled across this game this afternoon. It's amazingly simple and complex and incredibly addictive.

Essentially you create your nation and every day you get an issue to deal with. You pick your response and watch as your nation reacts to it. It's that simple.

If you want to join, I've created a region called Rhydin. The password is "overlord" without the quotation marks. Hope to see y'all there!

Heh, well.. several of us from here had seen that a couple years ago, actually.

It gets pretty boring after about a week of the same things happening where nothing really changes.

That's weird...I just checked it. It still exists! Did you search for a nation or a region? Rhydin's the region that we're in!

Actually, I tried to login using rhydin/overlord. It said it didn't exist. But I did see the region!

I just tried too, and it says Rhydin no longer exists.

Whatcha gotta do is create a nation first. Your nation is your login.

Then, you'll be thrown into some strange region. I got the Pacific.

Then, and I can't remember off the top of my head, you have to search for other regions. Search for Rhydin. Then you get a link that allows you to join that region. It'll bring up a note saying "This region is password protected" That's where you put in Overlord.

So ya, create a nation first.

After that it should be pretty easy

I've been doing this game for a long time; my first nation died because I forgot to log into the site; I'm well into my second nation.

I highly highly highly recommend that everyone read the book that spawned the idea for the game (Jennifer Government) as well as the other two books by Max Barry (Syrup and The Company). Very quick, very good.

Al Aaraffs was the last nation left in Rhydin...all other nations ceased to exist due to inactivity, and one moved to Oceana. I followed that one and now live in Oceana, too.

If anyone re-ups in the game, we can move back to Rhydin

I'm in Badlands. my government is completely corrupt and evil, which presents the occasional problem as often people write issues for the game which offer a choice between a liberal choice and a conservative choice without taking into account a possible "further enslave my citisens to my evil whims" option, but occasionaly I get lucky.

Just the other day there was a topic about censoring nudity and I was in a conundrum: while my evil regime is very pro censorship, we also have a decidedly pro-nudity policy. I was forced to dismiss the issue.
