Last night Bran Bale challenged Honorable Baroness Maria Graziano for the Baronial Ring of Battlefield Park! Read further for the details!
The Lizardman challenger, Bran, came to duel under the forest green and blue claw-mark banner of the Bales! He held no one to his position of Honor, and his Captain from the IFL Team RoShamBo, Artemus Kurgen, served in the capacity of his Second!
The honorable Maria Graziano arrived to defend, dueling under the blue and silver of the Grazianos, with the lovable and highly feared PiRATe, Napoleon Bonarat serving as her second, and the not-present P-IMP as her Creature of Honor!
Both duelists remained intent upon holding the match, and thus moved into a ring to to begin the Single Match to decide the fate of the Ring.
Round One began with a positive note as both duelists attempted to score fast and early points. Bran's clover-leaf spear flashed high, but was unable to strike before Maria earned the first point by lunging in quickly with her bat and pushing the lizardman back!
Round Two saw the action halt for a moment as Bran used the momentary distance between them to catch his breath and rethink his strategy, Maria on the other hand, felt over-extended and pulled back to a more defensive position.
Round Three saw the action and the points resume as Bran pulled his spear up vertical, giving Maria the opening she was seeking to come in low and score the second point of the match.
Round Four allowed Bran his first chance to retaliate as Maria wandered in too far into Bran's spear's range, giving him time to wedge the haft between her legs and trip her up before she could move away.
Round Five gave Maria another chance to score as Bran misjudged the target of her attack and defended his upper body, leaving her free to pummel him below.
Round Six saw the match begin to turn around in Bran's favor as he begun a comeback by getting a solid blow to Maria's side with the blunt end of his spear, and earning another point for himself in the process.
Round Seven gave both duelists a chance to catch their breath as having both attacked and been attacked, they decided to reassess their dueling strategies so far.
Round Eight allowed Bran to tie the score at this point, catching Maria on the side with his spear as she was unable to catch him with another lunge of her bat.
Round Nine saw Bran move into the duel's lead, as he went fully onto the offense and was able to catch Maria before she could swing in and connect.
Round Ten brought the duel to an end as Bran grasped his spear tightly in both hands and brought it low in a mighty swing that'd make any sports player proud, catching Maria soundly as she sought to avoid the spear's path and ended up moving right into it.
All Hail Bran as the new Baron of Battlefield Park!
