Achievements Questions

A couple weeks ago Amaltea posted that rules and procedures for this system will be coming out shortly. If the questions I have are going to be answered in there once y'all get around to putting it up, then feel free to tell me to shut up and be patient. That said, I was looking around at some of them and became curious.

Is there going to be a master list of the available achievements, or are we figuring that out on our own?

Do achievements upgrade themselves such that the previous version vanishes from your list?
* ie: Kal has the DoS 50 WoL badge, while Cass has the 100 WoL badge. Presumably Cass would have both, but you only show the 100 since it's just a higher degree of the same thing? (same would be true with rank achievements.)

I see there are badges for titles, do you lose the badge when you lose the title or is it yours forever?
* ie: Kal has the Baron achievement while Teagan does not. Will I lose mine when I lose the ring? Or is it just that you haven't back filled for past titles?

Yes, there will be a list of achievements. But there will be some, not many, that will be secret.

No. There will be instructions posted as to how to request the badges.

Once you earn a badge it will be yours forever, but you cannot earn badges more than once.


As for when they are coming out, they are practically done. Check your profile.

No. There will be instructions posted as to how to request the badges.

So, once fleshed out, Cass would show both the 50 WoL and the 100 WoL badge and a Warlord would also have the SwordsMan, M@A and GM badges? That's a ton of little icons for some people. Which isn't a complaint, mind you, just an observation.

No, only the current achievements. For example you have been Overlord before, but your current rank is Warlord and you are currently a Baron. So you get those two only. If you want the Overlord badge you will have to become Overlord again.

But if I were to get the OL badge, I'd keep it even after I've lost the title. Yes?

What about the other ones I mentioned, Swordsman, M@A, GM. Other than going on a massive losing streak there is no way Kal could re-earn those achievements. Will those be retro-actively applied or will they simply be un-earnable for some people?

Correct.

No, there are some badges you won't be able to earn.

Aw, since past titles are ineligible, that means that I don't get a special two time consecutive Talon winner badge. Ah well

Back on topic, the achievement badges are pretty spiffy. Thanks for all the work done on them
