The white fluffball kitten was entrusted with a most important mission. Mallow carefully carried a parchment to the corkboard in the Outback. With a prodigious leap and thwap of a paw to a tack, the parchment was tacked to the corkboard. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise handwriting.

Madame Mayworm,

The time has arrived.
Per the official rules of Opal challenge, I officially challenge JIGGLYPUFF, not her "handler", for MoonBeryl.

Her mission done, the kitten trotted out of the Outback in search of well-deserved treats.

I do believe your official challenge is offically invalid, regardless of who you are issuing it to. Perhaps you felt I would, in my injured state, overlook your blunder. I assure you, I will not.

The creature will thus retain hold of the Opal here, in my care. The interests of science and research, for now, trump your longing to so quickly reclaim what you have lost.
