IFL Rumblings

I've heard rumors of a 2014 season for IFL. I have to say that I am really hoping that it comes to fruition. The Rock Hards will be making an appearance. Can we get some kind of official word on the subject? Do you need any kind of assistance getting ready? I'm happy to volunteer time.

I'm not sure about the other team captains, but I have had a few inquiries about positions on my team. Some are through referrals, and I am grateful to those doing the referring. It is these inquiries that have me posting. Solid dates may be too much to ask for this early. If I had them though, I would be able to poll the current members and let them know when so they can give me availability. It would certainly be easier to address those looking for a spot.

If others are receiving the same questions, maybe there is enough interest this year to add teams? It'd be great to have more teams fielded this season. I think last year has made me some kind of junkie needing a team dueling fix.

I have a star trek-esque char, H.K. that might join a team if it were called Red Shirts.

Consider it official. IFL will be back again this year. I'm looking at a similar schedule to last year where we start off the season in mid to late October.

Assistance wise, I don't think we need anything right now. The offer is appreciated though and if anything comes up, I'll let you know!

There will be some changes this year in the rules, mostly in the area of rankings. Now that we have a previous season to work off that wasn't 7 years ago, ranks in IFL will be based off of 2013 performance rather than what rank some might hold in DoF. I'll write this up in detail for people and share the anticipated ranks for returning characters in a couple weeks.

I did have some thoughts on possible events that Kruger was helping me brainstorm. I guess I should work on that :)

How does Sunday, October 26th sound for an event? This way, if the event still happens to be going on at midnight the first week matches will be announced (if the season starts on the tentative schedule currently outlined).

Date sounds fine to me. Unlikely that I would get to take part in the post-match announcement shenanigans though, which is kind of a shame.
