Intercession Grant

Post by Mairead Harker »

I have a question on the Intercession Grant prizes from the ART.

The wording on the description is as follows:
2. Intercession Grant

Once during the following cycle, the winner of this prize may intercede in a challenge. The grant is considered spent once the prize-winner intercedes and the duel has started, or once the cycle has ended. The Intercession Grant can be used by its holder to either counter or issue a test of worthiness. This grant functions the same as Usage Two of the King’s Decree.

---------------------------------
There's nothing in that description restricting who one can intercede for.
My question is if a Squire tests a challenger or an Overlord appoints a champion (rather than their Squire) as is their right and no Renegade steps in, could the holder of this grant act as their own champion? That would mean if they lost the test as the challenger's champion that they would face the test a second time or if they win they would move forward as if a Renegade had won on their behalf.

Yes, that would be allowed. You can act as your own champion with the grant.

Trust no one, not even yourself.

Cool idea. Hopefully someone does it! 😆
