It is early May and once again timeforthe brialliant blue Pharaoh butterflies to make their annual migration across the Great Desert. This is one of the greatest natural displays to be found across the world of Rhy'din, and to the folk of Cadentia it is has given rise to the Desert Sky Festival. Every plaza, courtyard, and garden, every balcony and rooftop, all are filled with celebrants from across Cadentia, the desert, and neighboring lands to bear witness to this awe-inspiring sight!
Come early and spend the day enjoying the sights, sounds, and scents of the Bazaar! There will be kites available in the markets for those of all ages to fly, colorful pennants bearing messages of joy and hope for spring to unfurl in the desert breeze, and caged butterfiles for release. As in years past, the Desert Gate Tower's rooftop garden will be opened for visitors to enjoy local food and drink as they wait for evening. Then, as the sun sinks towards the horizon, those who wish may board tethered hot-air balloons to rise up for an unmatched view of Cadentia and the surrounding desert abd release their own butterflies to join the cerulean kaleidoscope as it passes above the city.
The Desert Sky Festival is Cadentia's own celebration of spring, and heralds the arrival of Beltane season across the continent. It is truly not to be missed!
