Demolition Derby and Smash Car Event will be held at 8:30pm on Friday, 9 April 2021 at WonderPlex Monster Truck Arena. The arena will open at 8pm to get the preliminaries underway. Blocks of seating in the stands will be reserved for those using remote controlled vehicles.
The rest of the park will open free of charge for the weekend of 9 Apr 2021. Participants in the derby and their families are invited to enjoy a complimentary overnight stay (with breakfast and lunch included) at the nearby Typhoon Bay Resort and Water Park.
Before the event, youngsters are invited to help decorate the arena and some of the donated entries. Please keep in mind when working on designs that this is an all ages welcome event.
Take a swing at the smash car for 25 gold and three swings for fifty.
Rules:
Any motorized ground vehicle is allowed in the competition. Inexperienced drivers and young children will be able to take part via full sized remote control cars and trucks. Parents/guardians wishing to drive with their children in a ground vehicle will be required to observe certain safety procedures/regulations and to take full responsibility for the well-being of those in their care. Entries cannot have active weaponry and need to be of a size that will allow it to share the Monster Truck Arena with other vehicles.
Fire Control and Medical Personnel will be on site as a precautionary measure.
Except in case of extreme emergency, drivers and passengers must remain in their vehicles.
Time will be called if there are injuries or if a disabled vehicle needs to be removed from the arena.
