RoH Get Together/Bash

Post by Tasslehofl Momus »

Reason for the asking is two-fold.

I would like to meet alot of the people which I RP with. I'm sure there are quite a few others who would like to too.

Also, the one which I attened years ago was at the Texas Ren Fest. Since then, I have gone to the Texas Ren Fest every year, and have made it a point of going the last weekend of Oct (otherwise known as Halloween Weekend).

If you'd be up to going, I'd be more than happy ta meet ya. Post up and let everyone know.

The Colorado Renn Fest in Larkspur, CO (south of denver, just north of colorado springs) is active every weekend (saturday/sunday days) of June and July during the summer. I usually go at least one day a year to enjoy it and I hear it's one of the better in the country, mostly of course because of it's locale. There are some themed weekends, I can find out more about and post. I know Denver is way out west, but it's a great middle point in the rest of you all, and Colorado is probably one of the most scenic beautiful parts of this country. So if there is interest, I could check out stuff and field questions about this and that. And even if it's not some big bash of duelers, even if little groups or whatever come out I would be happy to hook up and hang out.

We only go to the NY Renn Faire, or the Maryland Renn Faire. Texas and Colorado are a bit too far away for us. But if anyone is interested in the east coast, let me know. :)

Gee, there's a bunch of us gonna be around Nashville come May. . .Still got spots open for Beltaine, folks! TennRen's only half an hour from the Beltaine site! First weekend in May! C'mon down! Or up, as the case may be. . .

If I know that dates and such ... I can possibly do TX, NY and MD.

I am from AR but currently reside in VT. :P

Yo Psly, gonna try and swing it so I can be down that way for Beltaine, but not makin any promises, as for being in Maryland, if I can keep the GPA up for this semester, will be in D.C. for a working internship over the summer, probably most of june and into july.

I'd be interested, but to be totally honest, it'd depend on who all would be at one.

I've already met a bunch people from the game and I don't know if there's anyone I'd be eager to travel loads of miles to hang out with for a day or so.::chuckle::

Wrong side of the nation for me...

And we might be moving to Japan for anywhere from a few months to a few years.

Yeah there needs to be another East Coast one. If it's at the MD Ren Faire, I reserve the right not to wear a costume.

But we all absolutely loved that costume! Tell you what. If we get together again, whether it be at the MD Ren Faire, or one closer to myself like King Richard's Faire, I'll wear the same costume I wore last time.

As for my thoughts on travelling west for a get together, I'm all for it so long as it doesn't interfere with my competiton schedule. Or better yet, you can all come up here and we can go rafting on the 'Nob or some other fun, outdoorsy experience. (not like we have much else to do up here)

I was planning on heading to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival and the Beltaine thing with Psly and company. The TnRnFest is a pretty decent affair... I haven't a clue in hell what the other thing is... but I'll just have made it through the semester.. so I don't care so much. Vive la Midwest!

Not to mention I'm dying to meet the sexiness that is Al.

I am dead sexah, that's fer sure.. but I wont be at any of these due to being on the west coast right now. I mean, I'm currently in Philly at the moment but that's just a visiting thing that ends Monday.

I'll likely be performing Shakespeare again at the Pennsylvania Ren... didn't even think that the fairs might be a place that people in the community like to get together and meet at. If anyone's close to PA, I'll be there a whole lot this summer.

I suppose I'll have to live with the heartbreak of disappointment that is not getting to meet the epitomy of sexiness.
