Water Tower Challenge, The Fourth Edition

A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.

The time has arrived once again.

It may or may not be expected by now, but I hereby wish to issue challenge for a fourth time to the current custodian known as Droet the Bold for the right and honour of being the custodian of the Tower of Water. Perhaps after this attempt, I will at last gain what I seek.

Waiting has most definitely filled.

We meet again in a challenge for the Tower of Water. As your friend, I wish you the best.

As the Tower's Champion , however, I plan to defend it as though it were my own.

Indeed, we shall meet once again with a splash in Poseidon then to determine the fate of the custodianship of the Tower of Water.

After consultation about the details, the upcoming challenge for the custodianship of the Tower of Water will take place on Tuesday, April 8th at 9PM by the Eastern clock tower. The honourable Coordinator of the Duel of Magic, Gatito Lindo, will preside over this challenge.

It was both an honor and a pleasure to call this challenge. Tonight, we had a clash of veteran spellcasters that brought us to sudden death twice, saw history be made, and left us all in awe.

Things got off to a blazing start in the first match with senior Keeper and Champion Eregor commanding an early lead and maintaining it through six rounds to win with a score of 5–1.5. But Rachael would not be deterred, and she dug her heels in to push the second match to sudden death in the ninth round and then won it in ten, with a score of 5.5–4. In doing so, she pushed the challenge to three full matches.

In the third and final match, our spellcasters kept the score close, often with one leading by just half a point. Steadfast in her desire to at last conquer Water, Rachael was the first to match point—but Eregor tied things up in the very next round to bring us to sudden death once again. With one final push in the tenth round, Rachael overtook the senior Keeper and closed out both the match and challenge with a score of 5–4, becoming our newest Keeper of Water!
